A sports cabin anno 1926

Grefsenkollen Sportsstue was built as a restaurant in 1926 by Ringnes brewery. The doors opened May 10th 1927, and Ringnes’ opening party was arranged on October 30th. The building is made from notched logs, with a special notching technique because the timber was particularly heavy, and all the notching was done with axes.
